Exciting News from Columbia

After beginning the Fall not knowing any students, it has been encouraging to return this semester and see how the Lord is making himself known through RUF's presence on campus. Along with continuing to meet students 1-on-1 throughout the week, I'm also leading 4 Bible studies- 3 on campus, 1 at our apartment- for Columbia undergrads, as well as training leaders and providing curriculum for a women's small group down at NYU. One awesome thing that I've already done twice this semester is buy and give a Bible to students who didn't previously have one but who were eager to read more about the God they were hearing about in our study. Please pray for all my students, and these two girls in particular, that they would be captivated by the love of Christ and be eager to extend the grace of God to others on our campus.

Sunday, February 8th was also a truly special day, as I was ordained for gospel ministry in the morning, then returned to church in the evening to witness one of our students, Kelly, be baptized and become a member of our church! It is a tremendous privilege for me to walk alongside and shepherd students like Kelly during their college years, and I look forward to seeing many more Columbia students come to faith in Christ. I continue to be awed and humbled by the Lord's kindness in drawing me to himself and into his service in vocational ministry. Please join me in giving thanks to God for his work in Kelly's life, and pray that He would continue to sustain and equip Brittany and I for long-term ministry.
