Dependent on God

"I remember I was sobbing on my way home from [student teaching at] school one day after a student told me that I treated my class like Kindergarteners and didn't respect them and didn't help them learn, and I kept repeating, "I can't do this alone. I can't do this alone. I can't deal with this. I need help." God flipped some switch in me then because the light bulb came on. I had been trying to live my life in the same way that I had been trying to student teach: without help and attempting to impress people and God through my best efforts which were never good enough."

God is at work in this senior woman, and in our group at large. There are spiritual setbacks in our group, to be sure, but God is using his word in large groups, small groups, and 1-1's through RUF at Penn State to make us more dependent upon him. Praise God.
