New Work! UMBC

More changes are coming this fall! RUF will be launching a new work at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Starting a new work is both exciting and challenging. Starting a new work after a pandemic makes those challenges even more interesting!

Trip and Joy Beans, who have been serving at Millersville for the last 7 years, will be launching the ministry at UMBC this coming fall! Here are some excerpts from their thoughts on starting the ministry.

Beans

“The Beans are on the move…
After 7 great years of relationship and ministry at Millersville University, the Beans are headed back to Maryland to begin a RUF ministry at University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC)…

Why UMBC?
UMBC does not currently have an existing RUF work. It is an exciting prospect to start a new work at this strategic campus for the Baltimore Metro area. We are quickly learning that quite a few Covenant children, from local PCA churches, currently attend or are looking to attend UMBC in the coming year. Joy’s campus staff position will transfer to UMBC with us. And we look forward to continuing to serve together on campus…

Now more than ever we need our teammates. We need teammates who will pray for us as we transition to UMBC, but we need those same teammates to pray for Millersville RUF…

Thank you for the years of partnership in ministry with us. We cannot express to you all how much we appreciate it. And we look forward in faith at what God will do (at Millersville) and at UMBC through you…”

Please pray for the Beans family as they prepare for their move to Maryland. Pray for open doors at UMBC. Please also pray for the students at Millersville as the ministry transitions.
